Happy new year from Japan!

CATS AND SCIENCEDid you know that it is more dangerous for a cat to fall from a third storey window than from a twentieth storey window? This is because a cat is cooler and lither than the best of ninjas, and in fact the cat is harbouring a supreme secret. When a cat falls, it twists upright in midair and flattens itself out into a fluffy, feline parachute. Falling from the third storey, a cat doesnt have time to turn around, so -splat. Most tiny things, like flecks of dust and gerbils actually, maybe not gerbils can survive a fall from any height because they have a big surface area for their weight. "We Didn't Start The Fire"?Father tells me I am lucky. When we are sitting by the fire after dinner, and after he has badgered me about how I should become a doctor like him, he commentates to the news. His poor mans university education has instilled in him a desire to make people know the truth, to lecture. He tells me how lucky I am. I know how lucky I am. I have read the books Animal Farm, and 1984. I am reminded of them every time we see the news and Father talks about politics. He waves his hands out and out, his glasses catching orange firelight fire in his eyes, fierce pride that his children have grown in a place of such peace. There is an old Can"We Didn't Start The Fire"?

FecundityHerald the coming of the elements, In the knowledge that here, even, In the alleyways and back fire escapes of our times I shall wander.Fecundity
First shall be the man and the woman, the raised city spires of steel, the kebab shops, these cathedrals to your pride. Men shall move, but with the cold grey speed of flowing stone. They shall run for safety, but the moss shall seize their joints long before the first step. They shall try to scream, but new soil shall be born with earthworm and fungus, and their mouths shall be stopped before their noise can ring around the lands of their devising, the mortar of their bricks h

The Meaning of LifeWhats the meaning of life? asked the question-strewn Student. The Meaning of Life
To this the Teacher replied: That is a question most worthy of time eternal, but not a few mere words. It is transcendence you seek, and that cannot be fathomed into verbalism alone. You need to observe and behold as everything entwines and commits together. You see, life is not a linear being, it is a cloth that grows in size and complexity.
Love is a perfect element of life which also translates into an analogy of it. Nobody can define love in one manner after empirical observation, this is an impossibility. At this, t

A Poet's MoonMy mind is showered with resolve as step by step I get closer to the end of my journey. Here I am, unclothed with a knife in my hand, carrying out the will of a warrior. Of a poet. It is a painful endeavor, to walk barefoot on the Moon. Myriad pains shoot up one’s foot as the unknown tears into your flesh. There is no bleeding on the Moon, my father used to say, only the pungent smell of sweat and alcohol, mingled with dust and age. Silver dust and age of powder. My father had always loved to muse into the lyrical—he was the sort of man that delved into the essence of accounts and truths. He unmasked them and left them bare.  A Poet's Moon
